PIPELINE SAFETY REGULATIONS AVAILABLE FROM DNR
The latest editions of the state’s pipeline safety regulations on natural gas and hazardous liquids are now available from the Department of Natural Resources’(DNR) Office of Conservation.
According to Conservation’s Pipeline Division Director Mariano Hinojosa, the publications also include updated federal and state requirements on drug testing and alcohol misuse for operators and contractors engaged in transporting gas and hazardous liquids by pipeline in Louisiana. Copies of the required report forms for operators are available as part of the publications. Regulations are updated annually to incorporate new federal regulations and codes.
To order copies of the Natural Gas Pipeline Safety Regulations booklet (at $15 per copy) or the Hazardous Liquids booklet (at $10 per copy), contact the DNR Office of Conservation at 225-342-5585 or via fax request at 225-342-5529.
