Ribbon Cutting for the Levee Road & Ground Breaking for the Buffalo Cove Water Management Unit

State and local officials from the Department of Natural Resources and Iberia and St. Martin parishes will participate in a ribbon cutting for the Levee Road project starting at 9 a.m.. Following that event, there will be a trip to Sandy Cove Landing for a boat ride to Buffalo Cove and Skerrett’s Point for the ground breaking of the Buffalo Cove Water Management Unit.

Directions
To the Park – (From Baton Rouge)
Take I-10 West, Exit I-10 at Henderson and go south under Interstate.  
Take the first left and go to the levee.  
Take a right on the Levee Road (Near Pat’s Restaurant) and go 23 miles to the park. 

To the Park – (From the South) – *
Take US-90 West and at exit 211, Darnell Road (a.k.a. Hwy 320) turn right. 
Turn right onto Hwy 86, driving through the town of Loreauville. 
Turn Right on Hwy 345
Turn Right on Hwy 3083 going through the town of Coteau Homes
At the end of Hwy 3083 at the Levee, turn right & Continue to the park entrance. 
* - There should be the Brown State Park Signs for Lake Fausse State Park to follow at each turn.

To the Landing – (From the Park Entrance)
Approximately 3 miles past the park entrance on the left is Sandy Cove Landing.
