September Mineral Lease Sale Results announced by Board

The La. Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, September 10th in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
The Board collected $663,723. in bonus revenue for the state in the September lease sale, bringing the Fiscal Year 2014-15 total collected to $3.1 million. At this month’s lease sale, the Board awarded 6 leases covering 1,733 acres, out of 29 nominated tracts covering more than 46,708 acres. In the last fiscal year, the board collected a total of $18.3 million in state revenue.
The Board sold leases in Caddo, Concordia, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, and St. Mary parishes.
