State, Clean Groups to show some propane power
Who: |
La. Department of Natural Resources, Greater Baton Rouge Clean Cities Coalition, Blue Bird Corporation, Dixie Chopper Mowers, CleanFUEL USA, Louisiana Propane Gas Association, and ReedGas Propane Company |
What: |
DNR and the U.S. Department of Energy’s Clean Cities Program work together to educate community fleet managers, purchasing agents, and other officials about the benefits when using alternative fuels in their vehicles/fleets, as part of the nation’s push for energy independence and reducing harmful emissions into the environment. Many states proclaim October as Energy Awareness time of year and support educational programs for the public to participate in. This year, the Blue Bird Bus Corporation will be touring several cities in Louisiana with a propane-fueled school bus. DNR and several other groups have teamed up to provide a public demonstration of the propane-powered bus and other vehicles in a special event located in our community. |
