STATE GOVERNMENT COMMUNICATORS NAME OFFICERS FOR 2000
The Association of State Communicators (ASC) has announced its newly elected officers for 2000. The organization's membership includes government agency communications directors and specialists, press secretaries, and public information professionals.
Phyllis F. Darensbourg, Public Information Officer for the state Department of Natural Resources will serve as president. Serving as past president is Denise Bottcher, Public Information Officer, Attorney General's Office.
Other ASC officers are Ronald Brown (LSU) as vice-president, Dedria Givens-Carroll (State Library) as secretary, and Darrin Mann (Department of Labor) as treasurer. Elections Commissioner
Suzanne Haik Terrell will be the group's guest speaker for its first meeting on January 19th in Baton Rouge.
