State Mineral and Energy Board announces results of November Lease Sale

Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, November 14, 2018 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
The Board collected $1.6 million in bonus revenue for the November lease sale. The current 2018-2019 total bonus payment is approximately $7 million. At this month’s lease sale, there were 9 leases covering 2,440 acres. The leases were located in Acadia, Assumption, Caddo, Cameron, Lafayette, Plaquemines, Point Coupee St. Martin and West Feliciana parishes.
The total bonus payments to the state for the previous fiscal year, 2017-2018, amounted to $4.6 million.
