State Mineral Board reports March lease sale data

The State Mineral Board conducted its monthly Lease Sale on March 8, 2006, at 10 a.m. in the Conservation and Mineral Resources Hearing Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.

Posted in this month’s Lease Sale total were bids on Tract Nos. 37877 (SL 18858) & 37884 (SL 18859) which were deferred at the October 2005 Sale. Additionally, the Board posted revenue from six state leases issued to Swift Energy for operating under an exclusive geophysical agreement in Lake Washington in Plaquemines Parish.

Below are the preliminary results of the lease sale and 2005-2006 Fiscal Year totals.
