The "Keep Your Cool! Home Appliances and Lighting" workshop is the fourth in a multi-part series of energy efficiency workshops. The Nov. 16th workshop will explain how selecting the most efficient home appliances available at local retailers can achieve or exceed the standards of the popular “Energy Star” appliance rating system.  Industry leaders will also explain how to effectively choose and place light fixtures, including ceiling fans, for optimum use of light in your home.  Exterior lighting will be included in this discussion.
All workshops explore building industry innovations which save homeowners money and reduce the amount of energy used in the home.   An overview of all energy efficient choices discussed in this series will be featured on a DVD scheduled for released in early 2007.

At the same time, the PRC’s Operation Comeback and DNR will unveil energy efficiency plans for five properties owned by the PRC in the Holy Cross neighborhood, including four rehabilitations of historic houses and one new construction.
