Solar Facility Rulemaking | Department of Energy and Natural Resources

DENR is proposing the adoption of LAC 43:I.5101-5121. The proposed rule requires a permit to construct and operate certain solar power generation facilities and establishes regulations governing the decommissioning and required financial security of such facilities. The proposed rule will be published as a Notice of Intent in the State Register on August 20, 2025. DENR anticipates the proposed effective date for these rules will be on or after November 20, 2025.
