Louisiana Industrial Companies Recognized by U.S. DOE for Energy-Saving Efforts
Baton Rouge, La — The Louisiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) announced Wednesday that the U.S. Department of Energy has recognized 14 Louisiana industrial manufacturers under the “Save Energy Now’ program for their work to reduce energy use and meet national energy goals.

Louisiana Mineral Board Secretary Marjorie McKeithen announced today the results of the monthly lease sale which produced $5.9 million for the state. McKeithen said three bids on tracts, once unobtainable, have yielded a total amount of $5.2 million in bonus revenue.

State's Flood Protection and Recovery Discussed on West Coast
Louisiana Department of Natural Resources Secretary Scott Angelle and South Lafourche Levee District Director Windell Curole addressed the annual conference of the Floodplain Management Association this week in Nevada. The pair also met with California’s Department of Water Resources officials in Sacramento, who helped coordinate the conference.
DNR Mineral Resources presents at Houston Oil and Gas Expo
DNR Office of Mineral Resources staff will participate in the NAPE Expo in Houston, Texas this Thursday and Friday. OMR Assistant Secretary/Mineral Board Secretary Marjorie McKeithen will join OMR’s Industry Liaison for Texas, Lisa Liles, and OMR Geologists, Jim Taylor and Michael Harvey for the event.
