Contractors checking water wells in coastal parishes
The impacts of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita on water wells are being checked and evaluated for damages through a program sponsored by the state Department of Natural Resources’ Office of Conservation.
DNR announces Clean Cities Conference
With support and funding from DNR and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), the Louisiana’s Clean Cities coalitions are working to make our state a healthier, better place to live and work by promoting use of alternative fuels, advanced technology for vehicles, biofuels, and other renewable resources. The mission for a Clean City program is to adopt practices that reduce dependency on foreign oil and at the same time help the environment.
