Energy companies and operators should be aware as this hurricane season begins June 1st, that new procedures are in place which will allow for an orderly and secure return to the workplace after a storm event. Also, all resource requests during and immediately following a storm event should be made to the local parish Emergency Operations Center (EOC). The Parish EOC will then forward requests to the State EOC if the local resources are not available or if local government cannot assist.

Seven CWPPRA coastal restoration projects celebrated today at Rockefeller Wildlife Refuge

Grand Chenier, LA – Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection and Restoration Act (CWPPRA) Task Force members, state and local leaders, Louisiana Department of Natural Resources (LDNR) officials and the public gathered on the grounds of Rockefeller Wildlife Refuge in Cameron Parish to celebrate and view the progress of seven southwest area restoration projects built or currently under construction by state and federal partners at a combined cost of $55.44 million.
Comprehensive Coastal Plan Submitted for Legislature's Approval

BATON ROUGE -- The Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority of Louisiana (CPRA) submitted the state's comprehensive master plan for coastal restoration and hurricane protection and the Fiscal Year 2008 Annual Plan to the Louisiana Legislature today for consideration during the current legislative session.
DNR presents CIAP Funding Amounts from MMS
Louisiana Department of Natural Resources Secretary Scott Angelle has announced the funding allocations that the state and parish governments will receive for the next two years for the Coastal Impact Assistance Program (CIAP). The CIAP allocations are calculated by the U.S. Department of Interior’s Minerals Management Service (MMS), based on Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) oil and gas revenues.
