Environmental advisors to the President in La. for two days
The Governor's Office of Coastal Activities and the La. Dept. of Natural Resources announced today the schedule of events for state government officials meeting with President Bush's top environmental advisors. The group will meet in New Orleans, Port Fourchon in LaFourche Parish, and in Baton Rouge.
Avoyelles Parish and DNR Sign Master Plan

Senator Donald Hines, Representative Monica Walker, and government officials recently signed a cooperative agreement to spend $158,500 for beautification and other projects associated with the Avoyelles Master Plan. The legislators from Bunkie and Marksville respectively, joined Department of Natural Resources officials and Avoyelles Parish President Kirby Roy at the Capitol to move the plan forward.
