State Mineral and Energy Board announces results of June Lease Sale

Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.

The Board collected $493,132 in bonus revenue for the June lease sale. The current 2022-2023 total bonus payment is approximately $8.42 million. At this month’s lease sale, there were 2 leases covering 135 acres sold. The leases were located in Caddo Parish. 

The total bonus payments to the state for the previous fiscal year, 2021-2022, amounted to $3.67 million.
