State Mineral and Energy Board announces results of November Lease Sale

Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.

The Board collected $849,850 in bonus revenue for the November lease sale. The current 2023-2024 total bonus payment is approximately $2.66 million. At this month’s lease sale, there were 3 leases covering 293 acres sold. The leases were located in Caddo, Desoto, Iberville and St. Martin parishes. 

The total bonus payments to the state for the previous fiscal year, 2022-2023, amounted to $8.42 million.

November 2023 Lease Sale Results
